“We can do it! We have a council! ” is a project dedicated to the activation of young people (and their dormant potential) in the Opolskie Voivodeship. The aim of the activities undertaken was to establish commune youth councils in most poviats of the Opolskie Voivodeship.
The project included a pilot program of development of 10 youth councils from different poviats of the Opolskie Voivodeship. Local governments that decided to participate in the program were covered by comprehensive support – from preparatory activities leading to the creation of the council, through assistance in the development of its statute, diagnosis of local problems and opportunities in the area of activities for youth, to holding elections to youth councils .
The functioning youth councils could additionally count on substantive support in the form of various types of training or workshops tailored to their individual needs and challenges, which they face as a team and local community.
The second element of the project was to conduct extensive consultations, develop a formula and establish the Youth Forum of the Opolskie Voivodeship.
